How VietNomads Was Born
VietNomads was born from the story of a Franco-Vietnamese couple, passionate about introducing the land of the Dragon in a different way.
The idea emerged naturally at the end of 2024, after many people — friends, family, and travelers we met along the way — kept telling us how much our advice, our human approach, and our knowledge of the country made all the difference.
This realization gave birth to VietNomads: a unique travel coaching to share our authentic immersion in Vietnam — from Hanoi to Saigon, from the peaks of Ha Giang to the beaches of Phu Quoc.

Originally from Toulouse, Tristan made his first trip to Vietnam in 2019, backpack in hand and eager to rediscover his Vietnamese roots inherited from his paternal grandfather. This first journey became a true love affair: the cultural richness, enchanting gastronomy (from egg coffee to street phở), and generosity of the people convinced him to make Vietnam his home.
A passionate photographer and explorer at heart, Tristan has traveled the land of the Dragon from north to south by motorbike, train and scooter, discovering both iconic destinations and hidden treasures off the beaten path. His Vietnam expertise, gained over the years, covers logistical (domestic flights, SIM cards, money exchange, customs), linguistic, and administrative aspects, making him an invaluable guide for organizing an unforgettable journey.
